Ranch Pork Chops

Ranch Pork Chops
Friends Favorite Recipe Swap

From Carrejo Smith of Killeen, Texas, formerly of Princeton

"The ranch pork chops are just pork chops with some bread crumbs and a packet of ranch mix that are pan fried. Super easy and pretty tasty."

Our daughter, who's a real cook, called one night and the conversation turned to food. She was making Ranch pork chops that night and it just sounded really good. I talked her into sharing the recipe and this is my take on her dish (I didn't have bread crumbs, so I used potato flakes). It worked out well. The chops had a flavorful coating and were moist inside. Good job and thanks for sharing.

Ranch Pork Chops
4 boneless pork chops
salt
pepper
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup instant mashed potato flakes
1 pkg. Ranch dressing mix (dry)

In pie pan, mix dry ingredients and spices.

In medium skillet, add 1 tsp. oil and heat to medium-low.

Coat pork chops in spiced dredge mix.

Cook about 8-10 minutes per side until dark golden brown and cooked through.

Set meat to the side and keep warm in oven if you wish to make gravy from the drippings. Use some of the dry mix (about 2 T. or so) to thicken the gravy. It's a very tasty topping.
