Cake Pan Tip

This tip was passed on to me by a good friend, who read about my frustration with a cake recipe sticking to the pan. A good tip never hurts, so I thought I would share.

To keep a cake from sticking to the bottom of the pan you can mix the following together so that it loosens with ease.

Directions -
      1 cup shortening (CRISCO)
      1 cup oil
      1 cup flour

Mix all together and keep in glass jar in fridge indefinitely.
If the oil comes to top just stir it good and use whenever you need. Your cakes can actually come straight out of the oven without falling apart.

Use a pastry brush or your fingers and coat bottom and sides of your baking pans, don't spread on to thick.
