Cuban Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Using the Cuban Pulled Pork from my previous post, this sounds like a great sandwich. My friend Betty did it tailgating and I've been dying to try it.

CUBAN SANDWICHES
6 hoagie Rolls (or 12 slices french bread, see note*)
Pulled pork from above, drained
12 slices swiss cheese
6 slices black forest or pit ham
12 oval dill pickle slices or 6 "stackers"
yellow mustard

Open rolls flat, cutting apart if necessary. Put mustard on both halves. Put pickle slices on bottoms. Place a slice of swiss on both the top and the bottom. Add pulled pork to bottom half, then a piece of ham. You want everything, especially the cheese, to pretty much fit the bun and not hang out too much. Place top half on sandwich.

Heat oven to 350 and put sandwich on a piece of tin foil. Flatten sandwich by gently pressing down on it with your hands. Wrap in tin foil and give it another gentle press, until it's about half as thick as it was to start. Place tin foil packets on large cookie sheet and heat in oven until cheese melts and it is hot inside, about 30 minutes.

You will probably have some pork left over to use with burritos, black beans and rice.

*If you have a panini press, use it to heat the sandwich instead, and use sliced french bread. No need to manually press before hand.
