I was on a quest for making my own BBQ sauce earlier in the summer and I had a few friends help me out. They offered up their recipes and I borrowed from them, using what I had and what sounded good to me. This is one that I think anybody would be happy to serve. Treva's Spicy BBQ sauce
2 T. flour
1/4 t. cloves
2 T. brown sugar
1T. prepared mustard
1/8 t. pepper
1-1/2 t. salt
1/2 cup vinegar
3/4 cup water
1-1/2 cups ketchup
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup onion, diced
Preparation -
Mix together flour, cloves, salt, pepper and brown sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and simmer 15 minutes. Yield - about 3 cups.
