Primavera Pasta with Sausage

Recipe and photo courtesy Rz Cafe.
Recently I had the distinct pleasure of being invited into the kitchen of Rz Cafe' and Catering in Ft. Branch, IN. Luckily it was Italian night and that is one of my absolute favorite cuisines. Give me pasta and garlic anytime.
On Italian night Rz serves homemade lasagna, big handmade meatballs and chicken with Alfredo sauce. I truly love a good creamy, cheesy Alfredo sauce.
The specialty pasta of the evening was a blend of peppers, onions and Italian sausage on pasta with a light coating of marinara sauce. What's not to like about that?
Candace and her food crew were nice enough to share their recipe with us. Here's to good eats and some vino.

Primavera Pasta with Sausage
Penne Pasta – Cooked in salted water
Dewig Meats Sweet or Hot Italian (cooked and cut into bite size pieces)
Your favorite seasonal vegetables (we use mushrooms, onions, peppers, and tomatoes)
Olive Oil
Garlic (the more, the better)
Your favorite marinara sauce – it does not take much, this is a lite dish, so really only use a few spoon full’s.

In sauté pan sauté garlic in olive oil.  Next, add veggies until desired doneness is reached.  Add sausage, marinara sauce, and pasta.  Heat through.

Serve with fresh grated Parmesan and crusty Italian bread with more garlic and olive oil for dipping.
