Double Bacon Burger

Photo courtesy of the Cooking Corner.
What can be better than bacon on a burger? Well bacon in the burger of course. At my house everything goes better with bacon and that includes burgers, too. This simple recipe not only tops the burger with bacon, but also includes it in the burger for more flavor and texture. These quarter pound patties are sure to please.

Double Bacon Burger
1 lb. ground beef
8 slices bacon
4 buns
4 slices cheese
salt, pepper and/or hamburger seasoning
condiments of choice - onion, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato etc.

Cook bacon until almost done, but not crisp. Remove to paper towel to drain.

Place ground beef in small bowl and sprinkle with spices. Tear 4 pieces of the bacon into small bits and mix into ground beef. Form four patties.

In hot skillet, cook burgers until done and juices run clear. Place cheese slices on burgers for cheese to melt. Tear remaining bacon in half and place on top of cheese. Assemble buns as desired. Serves 4.
