Shrimp Dip

Looking for something new and tasty on game day? My niece has a great recipe for shrimp dip that was a big hit at her wedding and I've been wanting to try it ever since. There aren't many ingredients and the steps are simple. This is a great do-ahead dish when you need a party food or appetizer.

Shrimp Dip
2 - 8 oz. cream cheese - softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup plus 2 T. ketchup
1/2 tsp. celery salt (or a little more to taste)
1 bag frozen shrimp, thawed and cut into chunks
2 T. minced onion (or more to taste)
1 T. garlic powder
4-6 squirts of real lemon juice

Mix the cream cheese, ketchup, mayo, lemon juice, garlic powder, and celery salt with a hand mixer until smooth and well combined.
Use layers of paper towels to get as much water out of the shrimp as possible or the dip will be really runny. Add onion and shrimp. Mix with a spoon so the shrimp doesn't break down. Chill until serving.

Note-dry shrimp as much as possible and use mixer to combine cream cheese mixture to ensure smoothness.
