Smores Cake

What sweet treat says comfort more than smores? I'm thinking a Smores cake.
Recently I helped out at a fundraiser and one of my friends brought this cake. It went over so well that I decided to make it for Easter dinner. The grandkids had a fine time smashing the graham crackers in baggies to sprinkle on top. Of course, they ate a few, too.
This was very easy to make and my crowd gave it a two thumbs up.

Smores Cake
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
eggs, water and/or oil as directed on package

Bake as directed in 13x9x2 pan. Let cool.

Marshmallow Buttercream Icing
1 stick butter, beat well and then add
1.5 cups powdered sugar
7 oz. marshmallow cream
2-3 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
1 regular Hershey's chocolate bar, broken into pieces

In large bow, beat butter until creamy.
Add powdered sugar a little at a time, beating well to incorporate.
Stir in marshmallow cream and mix well.
Beat again. (If too thick, add 1 tbsp. milk)

After the cake cools, cover in graham cracker crumbs.
Cut cake and top each slice with candy piece.
Serves 12.
