White Chili

At work, we have what's called "Goody Day" to celebrate the employee birthdays of that month. Volunteers bring in the dish of their choice to go with a huge cake. One month a few years back, we decided to do a chili cook-off. We gave up the sweets and brought in our crockpots filled with savory soups.
One of our coworkers brought in White Chili. It was really neat to try a different twist on a traditionally beef and tomato based soup. Here's his recipe.

White Chili
Recipe courtesy of Mark Crowley
1-1/2 lbs. ground turkey or chicken
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups chicken broth (2 small cans)
4 oz. green chilies
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1 tsp. cilantro
3 (16 oz.) cans soup beans

In a large black stock pot, brown meat and onion. Add broth, chili
beans and seasoning, simmer on low for 30 minutes

For large batch:
2 one lb. pack gr. turkey
4 small cans broth
Double all other ingredients
