While I was rummaging through my recipe collection, I realized that I had omitted posting a holiday classic. No recipe collection should be without this holiday staple - green bean casserole. It's been a favorite for years.
Classic Green Bean Casserole
2 pkg. (9 oz. each) frozen cut green beans, thawed and drained OR
2 can (16 oz. each) cut green beans, drained
3/4 cup milk
1 can (10.75 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 can (2.8 oz.) french fried onions
In a medium bowl combine beans, milk, soup, pepper and 1/2 can french fried onions. Pour into 1-1/2 quart sprayed baking dish. Bake uncovered in 350 oven for 30 minutes. Top with remaining onions and bake 5 more minutes until onions are browned.
Makes 6 servings.
