Our friends shared with us how they make a "Manly Mac and Cheese." Adding meat to any dish makes it "manly," so they say.  I've had it and it is great. It's creamy but has little meaty flavors bombs throughout. Then you get a taste of shrimp and that's when it's really special
They brought this dish to a "Superbowl" party once and it went over big time. Some things I just have to share and you just gotta love.

Manly Mac and Cheese

2 pkg. Bob Evan's mac and cheese
1 lb. sausage rolled into large marble sized meatballs
20 medium frozen shrimp, deveined and peeled
1 medium onion, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained
black pepper to taste
sprinkle of cayenne pepper

Preparation:
Roll sausage into large marble sized balls and bake in oven on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Rinse frozen shrimp, cut off tails and cut in half. (This is easiest done with sharp kitchen scissors.)

Put baked meatballs, shrimp, mac and cheese, onions, mushrooms, cayenne pepper and black pepper into crockpot and stir well to mix. Cook on low heat for 2 hours.
